2011 saw a major decrease in the number of buildings allowing Pressurized Walls mostly in part to the 2010 NY Times Article about the crackdown by the NYC Building Dept. which considers most of the walls illegal.
Recently, Sty-Town/Peter Cooper put an end to Pressurized Walls. That alone shows the direction of the pressurized wall industry for 2012.
A hot sheet of buildings still allowing pressurized walls is now in circulation so those buildings may soon say no more walls
Four Pressurized Wall companies closed their doors in 2011 and two more are on the way out so the risk is that if you have a wall installed by a company this year, they may not be around next year to remove it. For more details visit
